I went back to Blenheim Palace to do some more sketching, this time with the aim to add more drawings for a new panoramic view.
I found a quiet spot in the main courtyard to sit and sketch a couple of drawings. After a day of scattered showers the sun decided to come back out to give a nice evening light- and a certain warmth to the palace buildings. I continued sketching while the palace gradually emptied out. As the courtyard became quiet I had to remind myself to leave before the place was locked up.
Here is my view and some of my sketching.
Later back at home I decided to add some simple colour with a computer graphics program – sometime is is a good way to give ideas for a later painting.
