Oxford can be a busy place so when the crowds are gathered and various buskers are playing on Cornmarket Street. So it can be nice to take a few steps away and into the relative quiet of Golden Cross courtyard. Here the buildings date back to the 16th century, including one of Oxford’s many old coaching inns.
With my back to Cornmarket and Oxford’s busy shopping streets, I set to draw the courtyard focusing on what is now a Pizza Express at its far end.
