With it being a relatively sunny day, possibly our first proper day of early Spring – I decided to head into Oxford to do some sketching in the late afternoon.
With the light going fast I decided to try a drawing of St. John’s College – here is my view of one of the college entrances. With the sun heading for the horizon I had about half-an-hours golden light reflecting off of that Cotswold stone…

This was a fairly quick sketch but I was relatively happy with it. Maybe later in the year I might go back and try a larger version of the same thing but when the days are a bit longer.
