This is one of my earlier sketches of the church at Swinbrook in western Oxfordshire, a few miles along the Windrush valley from Burford.

The church is presently undergoing repairs so is partly covered by scaffolding and a protective roof, but it is still a pretty village at this time of year – with a mass of daffodils and the occasional frolicking lamb in the fields.
