A view of this decorated house in the Ravel Roig district in Alicante, Spain.
The house is on the edge of an area formerly associated with fishing, not far from the old marina and just across from the Marina Railway Station. It is decorated with plaster images of fish, rays and King Neptune amongst other creations.
The area still hosts a festival for the Virgin Mary with a maritime theme – where an effigy of the Virgin Mary is carried through bedecked streets by sailors. The festival is also an opportunity for the locals to don fancy dress and stage a show in front of the gathered crowds.
