A take on the famous Old Quad at Brasenose College in Oxford. This is a view towards the porter’s lodge and Radcliffe Square entrance.

The dome of the ‘Camera’ in the background also adds to a sense of place.

Whilst out sketching my previous piece I learnt that the ‘Camera’ in Radcliffe Camera refers back to the Italian word for a study – in this case a study in the dome itself.
