Another landscape sketch from Blenheim

Continuing on a theme, here’s another sketch-up study of the landscaped grounds of Blenheim Palace. This is a different view of the palace, this time from across the lake.

The drawing is definitely more sketchy than my last, with my attempts at measuring in going somewhat astray.

I think that about half way across drawing the bridge I indulged in a more freehand style for the rest of the sketch. Some of those trees becoming almost abstracted, but that is probably a good thing.

I’ll keep you posted if this makes it in the transformation to a watercolour!
