A Naunton Landscape

The Gloucestershire village of Naunton is about six miles east of Stow-on-the-Wold, set among rolling hills in this part of the Cotswolds. The main road from Stow runs to the south of the village and you need to turn off to drive into the village if coming from this direction. Probably best known to walkers cutting across hills just to the north, at least in part because it has a good pub – The Black Horse – which is well worth a visit for lunch or other refreshments.

This landscape is a view of the western end of the village, which is centred around the church and is from the main road looking down into the Windrush Valley.
