After sketching a row of cottages in Warborough a couple of weeks ago I thought I’d go back and attempt to draw their pub – The Six Bells.
However, what a difference the weather makes – drawing the cottages I choose to find some shade from brilliant sunshine and temperatures in the high 20s (C). Today, it was optimistically trying to press on under grey cloudy skies with occasional drizzle making patterns on the paper. The pub, newly opened and looking inviting – but perhaps it might be a case of going back on a sunnier day to produce a better drawing – and possibly if there is time, a lunch too!
