St. Mary’s Church, Oakley, Buckinghamshire

On a sunny but cold day I took the opportunity to go out to visit the hilltop village of Brill in Buckinghamshire. Brill is probably best known as a former pottery centre, with its quarried hilltop and a picturesque windmill with views of the surrounding countryside.

It was too cold to linger for long so I rolled down the hill to more sheltered climes and the nearby village of Oakley – and to visit the church there. The result is this line and wash watercolour.
