It has been a quiet month.
With the latest lockdown biting after Christmas and the weather remaining dull, cold and wet for most of January, it’s been a good month to ‘hibernate’ and do other things.
With the return of some slightly better weather there comes a smidgen of optimism, maybe the days will grow longer and maybe we will be able to get out more. This also manifests itself in my starting to try a few new things in my artwork, amongst them is working up sketches and a drawing of the Radcliffe Camera in Oxford.
The above is a relatively quick colour sketch, trying to find colours and values and to develop a more detailed drawing and watercolour of this well-known Oxford landmark.
