Drawing Combe from the Green

These longer days and warmer weather make it easier to get out to do some drawing and the photo above is of my drawing in the Oxfordshire village of Combe.

Combe seems like a fairly quiet place generally and I pretty much had the whole of the village green to myself whilst drawing. There is still a sort of ‘rush hour’ or rather a couple of busier ‘rush’ hours – from the school run to people commuting home at the end of the day. While doing this drawing there was also a horse and rider going past a couple of times which is nice for a townie like me and suggests a slower more countrified pace.
