I’ve been out along the local canal again, dodging more showers and exploring. The above drawing is my initial study of a couple of boats moored up just outside Oxford. Here is a photo below – I think the narrowboat is called ‘Moonstone’.

Below is a slightly closer view of my drawing – I was in two minds over whether to use pencil shading or just jump in with some watercolour washes. I’m quite pleased with the little shading that I’ve done but will also try some watercolour. If this is at all presentable I’ll post an update.
