It has been wet and cold for a while and I have not been out doing as much sketching as I’d like. However yesterday the Sun came out briefly whilst visiting the Christ Church College Meadows and I did manage to do a couple of sketches. One is a re-hash of an earlier drawing, except in a looser style and the other is a whimsical view towards the Meadow’s gates and the town beyond.
Here’s my view of The Meadows Building at Christ Church in that fleeting golden light -and with my partial sketch under-way.

With the light going I turned and did another quick sketch towards the entrance gates of the meadows and some of the buildings around St. Aldates beyond.
