In the Oxford Central Library one of the larger windows makes a good spot to sketch from if it isn’t too busy.
There is a view across to a local Weatherspoon’s pub and if the weather isn’t too bad you usually get people sitting outside or having a quick cigarette.
If I can find an empty chair it’s a good place good to do some sketching practice for a while. You have to be quick as people are unlikely to keep the same pose for long.
So on a wet Saturday I sat and did some sketching. On this occasion it reminded me of how during Covid times I’d sometimes come to sit here, where the library would be almost empty and a refuge from the madness of the crowds outside.
My view and sketch.

For comparison here are a couple of other more complete sketches on busier days.
