A Garsington Cottage

Garsington is a village on the eastern fringes of Oxford. The village has achurch with views to the south and towards Oxford and Cowley to the west. Part of Garsington’s charm is the contrast between the old historic core of the village and the modern city outskirts, which to me accentuates the feeling of history here.

The village has two 16 – 17th c. manor houses and several rather nice cottages. My painting shows one of these – a short walk away from the church.

This painting is available as a print from my Etsy shop
