This is one of my earlier style watercolour illustrations. Its of the southern side of the cathedral precinct in Gloucester. If you know this area it is were you can walk through an underpass under the former Almondry building from or to the adjacent housing estate. In past times this was where alms were given out to the poor of the area. These days you are more likely to pass a homeless person sheltering in the alleyway asking for money, so perhaps there is some historical continuity there.
