This is one of my older drawings, of the fishing trawler Ebenezer, and is dug out of the archives to show some contrast between my artwork now and some time ago.
Whilst trawling my pictures I also came across another drawing of the Ebenezer – below. This is more sketchy (and less cleaned-up) and goes to show that sometimes shadows really do help a composition.
Harbours and fishing boats are a long time interest of mine though nowadays I think that a lot of the fishing boats are themselves an endangered species. If you go to my ‘Boats, harbours and things nautical’ gallery there are more examples of my drawings and paintings of various fishing boats and harbours.
