Drawing St. Mary’s Church at North Leigh

It was another cloudy day today but with a few breaks in the clouds – enough to make it worthwhile to go out and try some more drawing. So I ventured out to North Leigh near Witney, to take another look at the church there and possibly do a drawing. I settled near the entrance to the churchyard – the sketch above is the result.

I find this an interesting church. Perhaps it is because of the jumble of the various parts of the building or perhaps it is its setting in this particular part of the landscape – I’m really not too sure but think that it is likely I’ll be back to do some more drawing or sketching.
