Gee’s restaurant in north Oxford is a unique place and a bit of a favourite building of mine amongst the architecture of Oxford. This is mostly because it is housed in what was once a Victorian conservatory, that has been subsequently converted into a restaurant and not messed about too much. Part of its history is that the small shop next door was for years a small but charming florists. Sadly with Covid and perhaps the present economic climate it is now closed, soon to possibly re-open as an art gallery?
Anyway I’ve drawn this building on a couple of occasions and this post is about my latest drawing of this up-market restaurant. The result is the drawing above.
