Experimenting a little with a simplified (for me) watercolour of this townscape. This walkway is known as St.Mary’s Passage, next to St. Mary’s Church, in central Oxford. For those in the know the walkway is famous as the inspiration for a scene in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
The North Cerney Church of All Saints is an outstanding church and dates from the 12th Century. It is set on the side of the Churn valley north of Cirencester. My view is of the western tower, with the afternoon Sun rapidly heading for the horizon.
