As a bit of a change I sometimes do more illustrative line drawings or line and washes.

Here is my latest; its an illustration based on an old WW2 search and rescue Biplane, the type that Eric Ravilious flew in as a war artist.

At the top of this post is the same line and wash, but with a plain blue background added. Its possibly more pleasing to look at but what it really needs is a dramatic backdrop – some Norwegian coastline perhaps? So maybe that’s sometime that could be added with further practice…
