This is another in a short series of urban sketching of various shops along the Cowley Road in east Oxford.

Previous posts include ‘The Zaid Store‘ & ‘The Eastern & Continental‘.

Here is my view of this large poster and the shop. Those of you looking at previous posts might recognise this as the Zaid Store (in the post above) but with another incarnation of poster.

Here is my sketch in-situ.

I don’t seem to have my original scanned line drawing but in this case I probably went straight into adding some initial colour…

…and here is my finished watercolour.

All in all, a fun exercise in urban sketching, if a little frivolous!
