Sometimes on a weekend I’ll go into Oxford to do a little sketching. Depending on how busy the city is at any particular time, it is quite nice to just do some sketching for relaxation. A subject I keep returning to in Oxford is the Sheldonian Theatre. Here I am sketching from outside the Sheldonian but concentrating more on the Bodleian Library behind – the idea being to work up some sketches and then do a more complete panorama around this area later.

Moving along to the other end of the Bodleian I also tried another sketch of the Hertford College ‘Bridge of Sighs’- seen here from the railings next to the Bodleian.

Here is my finished sketch.
